Trampoline House and its exhibition space CAMP / Center for Art on Migration Politics are very proud to invite the public to an artist talk and video screening with the internationally recognized Sudanese artist and political cartoonist Khalid Albaih, who also publishes works under the name "Khartoon" (a word play on Khartoum, Sudan's capital city).

Albaih began drawing and sharing his drawings on social media during the Arab Spring in 2010. The drawings went viral but also found their way from the Internet to city walls in Cairo and Beirut. The themes of his drawings include how the Western and Arab world interacts, politics, inequality, migration, and the role of social media.

Until October 2019, Albaih is in Denmark as a "free-city artist" through the free city program "International Cities of Refugee Network" (ICORN), which is an international network that provides protection to authors, writers, and artists whose freedom of speech is violated in their home countries.

One can experience Albaih's new installation "Africa Light" (2018) in CAMP's current exhibition Decolonizing Appearance until March 30.

The event is conducted in English!

All events in Trampoline House are for free, and everyone is welcome. However, we’d really appreciate it if you’d help us get an idea of how many people to expect by filling out this form: www.trampolinehouse.dk/sign-up-special-event
