Why is it important to know about your cycle and how does it affect your life?
The most obvious cycles in our lives are seasonal, circadian (our day /night rhythm) and ultradian (occurring over 90–120 minute cycle) and of course the menstrual cycle.
Cyclical life is a wonderful means of regeneration without which we’d run down and die. The rhythmic pattern acts as an inner framework within which we can pace our lives to use our energy more efficiently and wisely, and feel a greater sense of embodiment and stability. Working against our menstrual cycle can increase menstrual problems and infertility, dampen our creative potential, distort our relationships with each other and the natural world and censor our full authority as a woman.
Menstrual cycle matters because it’s the ultimate inner guidance and self–care tool for women. As a stress sensitive system it gives you feedback on how you are physically and emotionally and by respecting and cooperating with its rhythm you can create greater levels of energy and well being, creativity and productivity.

About the host
My name is Diana Z Petrova and I have a great interest in women's physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing. I have been working with women on different health projects for the last 5 years, organizing and facilitating workshops, lectures and health interventions in Denmark, India, Taiwan, and Bulgaria. My approach is to combine scientific knowledge with the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda. I hold a Bachelor degree in Nutrition & Health from Metropolitan University College specialized in Lifestyle Coaching & Fitness Management. I am the first and only certified holistic female fitness instructor (Bellyfit) in Denmark.
