A warm welcome to the discussion event "For the Right to Work: A panel discussion on organizing migrant work."

During this event, audiences can partake in a live radio transmission discussion about migrant workers' struggle for rights and work permits through organizing.

Guests on the panel are:

Marius and Robert from "Metro Workers United," a group of workers mainly from Eastern Europe who have organized themselves during the construction work in the Copenhagen Metro.

Therese who has been involved in the organizing of Au Pairs in Denmark as a counselor and has herself worked as an Au Pair in Denmark in 2008. She holds an MA in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Aalborg University and is now doing a project on domestic violence towards ethnic minorities and Au Pair workers.

The event is organized by the transnational radio collective The Bridge Radio and accompanies the collective's solo exhibition "Economy of Migrant Labor – for the Right to Work" on view in CAMP from January 19 – May 19, 2018.

The panel discussion is followed by community dinner with the Trampoline House community from 6–7 pm and dance party with DJs from Trampoline House from 7 pm–12 am.

The event is conducted in English (with simultaneous interpretation to Farsi and Arabic).

All are welcome. Free admission. Dinner DKK 25 – free for people seeking asylum.

Hjertelig velkommen til debatarrangementet "For retten til at arbejde: En paneldiskussion om organisering af migrantarbejde".

Arrangementet tager form som en live radio debat om migrantarbejderes kamp for rettigheder og arbejdstilladelelser.

Gæster i debatpanelet er:

Marius og Robert fra "Metro Workers United", en gruppe af konstruktionsarbejdere hovedsaglig fra Østeuropa, som har organiseret sig i samarbejde med fagforeningen BJMF i forbindelse med arbejdet på metroen i København.

Therese har været aktiv i det danske Au Pair-netværk som vejleder og har selv arbejdet som Au Pair i Danmark i 2008. Hun har en masteruddannelse i international migration og etniske relationer fra Aalborg Universitet og er nu igang med et projekt om vold i hjemmet for etniske minoriteter og Au Pair-arbejdere.

Debatarrangementet er organiseret af det transnationale radio kollektiv The Bridge Radio og ledsager kollektivets soloudstilling "Migrantarbejdets økonomi – for retten til at arbejde", som vises i CAMP fra 19. januar – 19. maj, 2018.

Efter debatarrangementet er der folkekøkken i Trampolinhuset fra kl. 18–19 og dansefest med DJs fra Trampolinhuset fra kl. 19–24.

Arrangementet foregår på engelsk (med simultantolkning til farsi og arabisk).

Alle er velkomne. Gratis adgang. Folkekøkken 25 kr – gratis for folk, der søger asyl.
