TransAktion - Grieving and Mourning Support Group (Pilot) *Separatist Trans Event*

Tue 14. Dec 17:00 - 19:30

Posted by TransAktion - Youth

After almost two years of the pandemic, the recent Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), and the devastating fact that loss and death is present in our community, we’ve been discussing for some time the necessity for a space where we can discuss grief and mourning, never the less it’s not only for death, recent losses, because we know grief and mourning present themselves in different forms. Examples: We could be grieving for the childhood we never had. An opportunity we missed. A relationship of any kind we let go. Support that wasn’t there. And many other reasons you might know. Of course without minimizing or prioritizing a non-intersectional approach.
So, we are inviting you to participate in a pilot session, where we together try to define the focus and direction the group should take. There will be a second pilot session in January, but there’s no obligation to participate in both of them.

The group will be moderated by Fernanda and Kris.

If you want to participate send us a facebook message or an e-mail to and we will send you the link for zoom on the day of the event.
We look forward to seeing you on December 14th at 17:00h-19:30
This event is for trans People only, Our definition of trans people is broad and inclusive, meaning: everyone who isn’t/doesn't identify with the gender assigned at birth, anyone and everyone who identifies anywhere along the trans spectrum (broadly undefined), including those who identify/use terms as non-binary, agender, bigender, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, two-spirit, and all those in-between and beyond these limited terms and categories.
Everyone who is considering or questioning their gender/definition of their gender and/or their body - or who is in doubt - is also very welcome.
